Raleigh police respond to 2 overnight stabbings; suspects in custody

A person was injured late Sunday during a stabbing inside a Raleigh home.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are investigating two overnight stabbings.

Before 11:30 p.m., officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to the home at 4214 Cardinal Grove Boulevard. One male victim was stabbed in the abdomen by an "edged weapon," police said. He was transported to a local hospital, but officials have not provided an update on his condition.

One suspect, who police say knew the victim, is in custody.

Less than two hours later, Raleigh police responded to a second stabbing at a home at 3030 Emerson Glen Street, near Tryon and Lake Wheeler Roads, where another person was injured. Police said the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and another suspect is in custody.
