Person killed in Wilson County wreck
The state Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal wreck in Wilson County. It happened at about 3:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 301 and N.C. Highway 581, near Kenly.

It happened at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday along U.S. Highway 301 and N.C. Highway 581, near Kenly.
A large truck was traveling east on Highway 301 when it collided with a vehicle traveling south on Highway 581, troopers said.
A passenger inside the car was killed. The driver was transported to WakeMed, where he was listed in critical condition.
The two people inside the truck were taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The names of those involved in the wreck were withheld Tuesday evening.
