Person in custody after stabbing in Durham church parking lot

Durham police are investigating after a person was stabbed in a church parking lot Tuesday night.

Authorities said officers responded to the stabbing in the parking lot of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church on West Main Street just before 8:30 p.m.

One person was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police said a suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
