Person hurt overnight when gunfire hits Durham home

A person was grazed by a bullet overnight when gunshots hit their home.

DURHAM, N.C. — A person was grazed by a bullet overnight when gunshots hit their home.

According to officials, a male of unknown age was injured during the shooting on Thornwood Drive, in the Stonehill neighborhood, close to Southern High School off Clayton Road.

The person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said the shooting occurred up the street from the home, but two bullets struck the siding.

It's not clear if the home was being targeted.

The shooting is still under investigation.
