Person County man charged in Vance County murder

A Person County man who is currently being held in the Wake County Detention Center has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Vance County man on Oct. 7.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Person County man who is currently being held in the Wake County Detention Center has been charged with murder in the shooting death of a Vance County man on Oct. 7.

Wallace Wayne Yarbrough, 44, was being held for charges pending out of Wake County. He was charged in the murder of Alveante "Al" Markeith Holden, 18, of Vance County.

Holden was found dead of a gunshot wound on Oct. 7 at 8:43 p.m. by officers with the Henderson Police Department. Holden was found dead in a vehicle at The Wash House, a laundromat in the 600 block of East Andrews Avenue.
