DURHAM, N.C. — People were able to return to their rooms overnight after a bomb threat was reported at a Durham hotel, authorities said.

Authorities responded to the Extended Stay America hotel on N.C. Highway 54 at about 9:15 p.m.

People who were staying in the hotel said officers knocked on their doors and told them to get out.

For a period of time, officers blocked traffic to investigate.

On Tuesday, officials confirmed that no device was found and people had returned to their rooms.

The investigation is ongoing.
