Pedestrian struck, killed in Chapel Hill

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday night.
Police said the crash happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near the 1701 North Apartments complex at about 9:30 p.m.
The pedestrian, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said.
Southbound lanes of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard remained closed as authorities investigated.
