Man hit, killed while crossing Glenwood Avenue near Brier Creek
A man died Saturday night after being hit by a car at a busy Raleigh intersection.

According to a wreck report from the Raleigh Police Department, Ronald James Malinski, of Roxboro, was crossing Glenwood Avenue near Brier Creek Parkway around 6 p.m. when he walked into the path of a car. The car threw Malinski into the path of another car, and he died at the scene.
Police advised motorists to avoid the intersection, which had some road closings until midnight.
The driver is not expected to face any charges at this point.
