Pedestrian struck in Raleigh
A pedestrian was taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Raleigh, police said Friday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A pedestrian was taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Raleigh on Friday, police said.
The pedestrian was crossing the street at Wake Forest Road and Sycamore Street.
Wake Forest Road was closed between Sycamore and Poplar streets while police investigated but reopened around 8:30 a.m.
The driver remained at the scene, police said. It was not clear whether charges would be filed.
