Pedestrian struck and killed in Raleigh

— Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian in Raleigh.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday at 7016 Poole Rd.

The state Highway Patrol says pedestrian Anna Flores, 43, was killed and two other people were injured.

Traffic was backed up along Poole Road while troopers investigated the accident.

This makes the second fatal pedestrian accident this week in Raleigh.

Byron Reyes Rodriguez was killed Monday morning when two cars hit him as he tried to cross Capital Boulevard, near old Buffaloe Road.
