A pedestrian was struck and killed on U.S. Highway 64 near N.C. Highway 58 in Nash County around 10 p.m. Monday, according to troopers.  

<b>NASHVILLE, N.C.</b> — A pedestrian was struck and killed on U.S. Highway 64 near N.C. Highway 58 in Nash County around 10 p.m. Monday, according to troopers. 

John Perry, 52, of Middlesex, walked into the eastbound lanes of N.C. 64 and was struck by six vehicles, troopers said. All of the vehicles stopped, except for a tractor-trailer, authorities said.

No charges were filed, and no other information was released.
