Pedestrian killed near Mount Olive
A woman was walking along U.S. Highway 117 north of Mount Olive at shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday when she was hit and killed, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedMOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — A woman died late Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle near Mount Olive, authorities said.
Samantha Williams, 22, was walking in the middle of southbound U.S. Highway 117 about 3 miles north of Mount Olive shortly after 10 p.m. when she was hit and killed, authorities said.
No other details were released. The case remains under investigation.
