Pedestrian hit on US Highway 70 in hit-and-run
A pedestrian was struck and sent to the hospital in a hit-and-run incident that happened Saturday in Johnston County.

CLAYTON, N.C. — A person was hit by a car in Johnston County on Saturday night at around 8 p.m., officials said.
The car that hit the person drove away from the scene and has not yet been identified.
The pedestrian was hit at U.S. Highway 70 outside of Guy Road in Garner. The person had to be taken to a local hospital for the injuries.
There was no information on a suspect, or on the health of the person hit.
