RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police were investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday night.

The incident happened at 10:25 p.m. at the intersection of New Bern Avenue and Lord Berkeley Road. The man was transported to WakeMed with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the driver of the vehicle who struck the pedestrian stayed on the scene. The driver's name hasn't been released. Officials said there will be no charges since the pedestrian was wearing dark clothes in a poorly lit area while walking in the street.
