Pedestrian hit, killed in Robeson County
A Red Springs man was killed early Wednesday when he was hit by a minivan while walking along a highway in Robeson County, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedMAXTON, N.C. — A Red Springs man was killed early Wednesday when he was hit by a minivan while walking along a highway in Robeson County, authorities said.
Cedric Galbreath, 26, was walking along eastbound Interstate 74 about 2 miles east of Maxton when he was hit by a 2004 Honda Odyssey shortly after midnight, authorities said.
Authorities said the minivan's driver, whose name hasn't been released, won't be charged. Galbreath was wearing dark clothes, so the driver couldn't see him, they said.
