Odor in cabin prompts emergency landing at RDU; several passengers treated

Several passengers were receiving treatment after a Frontier Airlines flight made an emergency landing Wednesday night at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Several passengers were receiving treatment after a Frontier Airlines flight made an emergency landing Wednesday night at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Officials said flight 1674, which was traveling from Orlando, Fla. to Philadelphia, PA. was diverted, landed without incident and taxied to a gate at Terminal 2 jat about 7:15 p.m.

A Frontier Airlines spokesperson said an unknown odor in the cabin prompted the emergency landing.

Authorities said three passengers were taken to WakeMed Brier Creek and five were treated at the scene.

Emergency officials said many passenger complaints were minor, with people saying they did not feel well.

Frontier Airlines said 230 passengers and seven crew members were on board the plane.
