On one of the busiest holiday travel weeks, dozens of people were left in the Triangle after their flight on Frontier Airlines was canceled overnight.
According to a group of travelers at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, their flight to Las Vegas never took off. Frontier Airlines flight 115 headed to Las Vegas was supposed to take off at 9:25 p.m., but it was abruptly scrubbed.

Passengers said that, right before boarding, they were told that one of the flight attendants had worked too many hours so the flight could not depart as scheduled.
They say the airline told travelers they would get vouchers to make up for the lost flight, but that they wouldn't arrive for 30 days. Each voucher was for $200 per passenger, according to those who had bought tickets for the flight.
Most passengers had to cancel their trip and go home disappointed, though one man and his wife found other tickets with a different airline but had to pay more.
"They've gone from $129 to $800 per ticket," said David Eilers. "So that's $1,600 dollars, and they're saying they going to give us $400 in air credit. Everyone here is pretty disgusted. We're all on the same boat."
Passengers said the airline did offer to pay for overnight lodging, but many questions remain.
Airport officials told WRAL News that Frontier would respond to inquiries since it was one of their flights that was canceled.
According to AAA, a record-breaking 3.8 million people will fly for the Fourth of July holiday.
