DURHAM, N.C. — The next tenant to occupy the pop-up space at the American Tobacco Campus is a paper company from Parker & Otis.

P&O Paper opens Thursday in the space at 359 Blackwell Street. The shop will remain open through Aug. 28, and hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

P&O Paper started inside the Parker and Otis restaurant on Duke Street, known for its coffee, pastries and sandwiches. The shop features stationary and greeting cards featuring art, inspirational quotes and witty expressions.

“I am never without a pile of assorted notebooks and an array of pens and pencils somewhere close by,” said Jennings Brody, owner of P&O Paper. “And really it’s absolutely just the loveliest thing to open your mailbox and find a handwritten postcard or note waiting for you. That’s why I am so excited for the opportunity to open a little a shop dedicated to writing more on paper!”

PopUp @ American Tobacco Campus, which launched in 2018, is an initiative is meant to expose American Tobacco patrons to different shops and businesses in one setting. Coffee roaster Caballo Rojo, East Durham Bake Shop and furniture shop MicMag by Me, among others, have already occupied the street level, 1,483 sq. ft. space located at 359 Blackwell St.
