Park Review: Raleigh's North Hills Park

North Hills Park in Raleigh isn't a major park, but it includes a nice playground about a mile from the North Hills shopping area.

As I say in the video, I like to know about parks near shopping areas. It's a good way to wear an antsy kid out after she's sat in a shopping cart or stroller for a bit too long.

North Hills Park off Currituck Drive is a mile from the North Hills shopping area in Raleigh. This isn't a major park, but it includes a nice playground with some very tall tube slides, along with some ball fields, tennis courts and a paved connection to the city's extensive greenway system. And as a mom on Twitter reminded me, the playground is surrounded by some tall trees, offering some nice shade in the summer.

Check it out in the video. North Hills Park is at 100 Chowan St.
