School officials suspended a Garner Magnet High School student for 365 days after the student brought a gun on school property this week.

In response to concerning social media posts, school officials located the gun.

All parents were notified of the incident Friday, which was deemed a “no direct threat” incident.

School officials did not say what day the incident took place.
