Fayetteville, N.C. — Police said Friday that they are searching for two men believed to have robbed five fast-food restaurants across the Sandhills region in the past week.
Robberies occurred May 18 at a Hardee's in Clinton, a Burger King on Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville and a Hardee's on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville. A Hardee's in Sanford was robbed on Sunday, and a KFC in Aberdeen was robbed Tuesday.
In the two Fayetteville robberies, police said, the robbers wore masks and brandished handguns before fleeing in a blue or gray four-door sedan driven by an accomplice.
Both robbers were described as black, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slim build. One had close-cropped hair, some facial hair and a gold tooth and wore a tan mask, gray shorts, white-and-black high top sneakers and gloves. The second had lighter skin and wore a black mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts.
Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
