Sara Coryea and Kristin Haywood are both stay at home moms who know the value of a little time away from the kids.

"We knew so many moms who needed a break," Coryea told me. But many weren't ready to commit to a formal mother's morning out program or a drop-in daycare. So Coryea and Haywood decided to help out and earn a little money at the same time.

In January, they started Cary Mom's Morning Out, watching kids age one and walking to age five at Haywood's Cary home.  Haywood is the mom to two boys; Coryea to two girls.

The pair started with a couple of kids, but word of mouth spread pretty quickly. They now have seven regular charges along with others who attend occasionally. The two charge $25 per morning for occasional drop-offs and $80 for four sessions. (They're also offering 50 percent off your first visit).

Right now, the program is offered from 9:15 a.m .to 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays. They're looking to expand to Mondays in the fall.

"The biggest surprise," Haywood tells me, "is how quickly it has taken off."

Hear from Coryea and Haywood and check out the program in the video.
