Overturned tractor trailer closes I-40 East ramp at Chapel Hill Road
A tractor trailer overturned on I-40 East at Exit 290 for Chapel Hill Road.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A tractor trailer overturned on I-40 East at Exit 290 for Chapel Hill Road.
Traffic is backed up on I-40 East as one lane closed around 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning
Two lanes on the left-hand side remain open.
Ambulances responded to the scene of the accident but no one was injured.
Officials say the driver was going too fast for the exit ramp and are unsure if the driver will be given a ticket at this time.
The ramp onto Chapel Hill Road is closed as of 8 a.m. Two tow trucks are at the scene to try and get the tractor trailer right-side-up.
