Out & About at the Mura Third Monday dinner

Last night, Mura in North Hills had their "Third Monday Dinner," and Out & About had the privilege of taking part in all the fun and great food.

Last night, Mura in North Hills had their "Third Monday Dinner." The dinner happens once a month and anyone can attend; however, tickets go fast! There are a very limited number of tickets sold for this unforgettable dinner, dining takes place in the tatami room, a traditional Japanese-style room where you sit on mats on the floor. This special table only has 12 spots.

The "Third Monday Dinner" is a 7-course wine and sake dinner where guests are guided through a one-of-a kind dining experience. Guests are greeted with champagne and then seated in the tatami room. The head Chef addresses the table and explains the courses, where the food comes from and inspirations for each dish. Throughout the evening the staff guides everyone through the beverage pairings to compliment the delicious food.

Last night, Mura in North Hills had their "Third Monday Dinner" and Out & About had the privilege  of taking part in all the fun and great food.

The first course has been served! Parmesan and Gorgonzola Cups w/ pear, pecan, and greens @MuraSushi

The second course at @MuraSushi is Melon caviar over Prosciutto paired with Ferrari-Carano "Bella Luce"

3rd course @MuraSushi is Spicy tuna on fresh avocado paired w/ Zind-Humbrecht Riesling. The groups fave so far!

4th course @MuraSushi is a unique underwater adventure paired w/ sake! Everything on the plate is edible & delicious! 

Fourth Course: Carpaccio Trio. Yellow fin tuna served with a mustard soy sauce, Scottish salmon paired with a ponzu sauce and Japanese yellow tail accompanied by a yuzu sauce paired with "Fragrant Water" Premium Sake ( Housui Tokubetsu Junmai), Japan.

The pallet is cleansed and prepared for the 6th course, Honey Lacquered Maple Farms Duck Breast @MuraSushi #muramonday

6th course @MuraSushi: Parsnip puree, balasamic reduction, tri colored carrots & duck breast paired w/ a pinot noir

The purple carrots used are mainly found in Afghanistan & have similar nutritional value to blueberries @MuraSushi

Sixth Course: Honey Lacquered Maple Farms Duck Breast. A Maple Farms Duck Breast is seared and glazed with honey and a Balsamic vinegar reduction. Served with sauteed tri-color carrots and parsnip puree paired with Vavasour Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand
