RALEIGH, N.C. — From mild to hot and spicy, I have found a new favorite sauce and it is made in Cary.
I became hooked on Outta The Park BBQ Sauce while judging the North Carolina Specialty Foods Association taste competition earlier this month. Their Original sauce won a blue ribbon and the Hot and Spicy version was easily a top finisher as well.

I'm not the only one hooked on these sauces. The Cary company was just featured in Prevention magazine for their use of "clean" ingredients. The sauces are free of high-fructose corn syrup and do not contain any chemical preservatives or additives. The Original sauce also took home top honors at the North Carolina Hot Sauce Contest in Oxford.

The sweet and tangy Original sauce is my favorite. It is just a little spicy.

When you are in the mood for a kick, the Hot & Spicy sauce is perfect. The blend of hot chile peppers and ginger is really outstanding.

You can buy Outta The Park at a variety of places across the country. In North Carolina, it is sold at Fresh Market, Sip A Wine Store in Cary, The Bottle Shop in Carrboro, Weaver Street Market in Carrboro, A Southern Season in Chapel Hill and Whole Foods stores in the Triangle. Get a full list of where to buy Outta the Park on the company's website.
