The American icon was in Smithfield, putting smiles on attendees of the Skyfest Airshow at Johnston Regional Airport. We spoke with the drivers, or hotdoggers, of the famous car to learn more about what it takes to be a driver and how you can be one

Yeah, amazing. I um I actually had never seen it before and it came to my college campus last year and so I saw it and I really was like, I need to do this. So we are. Yeah. And I first saw the Win Mobile in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That's where I went to college. I ended up rock climbing with the current hot dogger. And she told me all about living life on the road, the travel, the amazing pr experience and I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. So I applied and I was the senior year in school and cut the mustard. So here we are, they were a little confused. But once they, you know, researched it and found out what the job actually is. They were really excited for me and they are really. So my parents were so frank and excited and one of the awesome parts of driving the mobile is not only is it your professional car, but it's also your personal vehicle. So if you are in your home market, you get the part of Wi Mobile in front of your front driveway, which is pretty weird year long contract. We drive the meter mobile to a new city every week, all over the country. Every year, Oscar Mayer hires 12 people to drive the six m mobile on the coast of we went to a two week of training at hot dog high in Madison, Wisconsin. So every day we see people waving hawking, you know, trying to get a picture of it. So we love that part of it. The only requirements are a driver's license and a bachelor's degree. Really.
