Orange County tractor-trailer wreck shuts down part of I-40/I-85 overnight

Hillsborough, N.C. — Crews re-opened part of Interstate 40 in Orange County Wednesday morning after two tractor-trailers wrecked near the I-40/I-85 split near Hillsborough.
The wreck, which happened around 1:30 a.m., caused one of the trucks to catch fire. One of the trucks also lost a load of energy drinks.
Emergency crews took one person to Duke Hospital for treatment. The extent of the person’s injuries was unknown.
No other details were available.
