'Operation Harvest' leads to 19 arrested on 85 total charges

The Nash County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday announced the arrest of 19 people on 85 total charges in "Operation Harvest."

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — The Nash County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday announced the arrest of 19 people on 85 total charges in "Operation Harvest."

The operation was a long-term investigation "to combat the sale and use of Illegal narcotics." Officials said in addition to the arrests and charges, four firearms were seized -- one a stolen AR-15. There were also two search warrants conducted, one probation absconder located, two consent searches conducted and eight outstanding warrants served in other counties.

The operation was also conducted by the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office, the Rocky Mount Police Department and Nash County Probation and Parole.
