One taken to hospital after driver of speeding car side-swipes three others, is ejected

One person was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after the vehicle they were driving side-swiped three other vehicles at a high rate of speed before the driver was ejected in a crash.

CARY, N.C. — One person was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after the vehicle they were driving side-swiped a vehicle at a high rate of speed. The driver was ejected from the vehicle before it hit two others.

Carolyn Roman with the Town of Cary confirmed to WRAL's Kara Lysle that the driver of a Honda was going at a high rate of speed on NC 55 in Cary on Tuesday around 4 p.m. The driver, who has not been identified, was ejected from the vehicle before that vehicle hit two other vehicles on Morrisville Parkway.

Roman said the driver was taken to Duke University Hospital in Durham. There was no cause given for the crash. Roman said members of the Traffic Safety Team were investigating.
