Seat dispute leads to shooting at NC theater

One person was shot at a movie theater in Concord on Sunday evening, according to police. At about 6 p.m., authorities responded to a shooting call at the AMC Theater at Concord Mills Mall and found one man suffering from a gunshot wound.

CONCORD, N.C. — One person was shot at a movie theater in Concord on Sunday evening, according to police.

At about 6 p.m., authorities responded to a shooting call at the AMC Theater at Concord Mills Mall and found one man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police said the incident occurred as the result of a dispute over seating in the theater and was not an active shooter situation. They do not think the suspect and victim knew each other.
