<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A person on an electric scooter was taken to an area hospital after being hit by a car on Sunday afternoon, Durham police said.

The crash happened at about 12:20 p.m. near South Roxboro and Barnhill streets.

The rider of the e-scooter was taken to Duke University Hospital.

No additional information was immediately available.
