One person shot in Sanford
Sanford police were investigating a shooting Sunday that left one person injured.

SANFORD, N.C. — Sanford police were investigating a shooting Sunday that left one person injured.
The victim showed up at Central Carolina Hospital around 5:30 a.m. to be treated for a gunshot wound, police said. The victim's identity hasn't been released.
Gunfire also damaged windows of buildings along Steele Street, but police could not confirm that's where the shooting happened.
