RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police said one person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting Tuesday.

The shooting happened outside the victim's apartment at Whispering Falls Run in Raleigh. Investigators said the victim, who has not been identified, was sitting in their apartment when they were shot.

Officials said the suspects fled but continued shooting while driving towards Strickland Road and Creedmoor Road. That's where a third uninvolved vehicle was shot. The driver wasn't hurt. No arrests have been made and nobody was in custody.

Police were still on the scene investigating Tuesday evening.
