One person killed, second one hurt during shooting in Fayetteville, police say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were searching for clues after one person was fatally shot and a second one wounded during an overnight shooting, authorities said.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight at a home in the 6500 block of St. Louis Street.

Police said in a written statement that one victim died at the scene while the other one was rushed for medical treatment to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police did not immediately identify the victims.
