2 dead, 2 hurt from quadruple shooting in Durham

A second person has died from a quadruple shooting in the 1600 block of Holloway Street in Durham Thursday night.

DURHAM, N.C. — A second person has died from a quadruple shooting in the 1600 block of Holloway Street in Durham Thursday night.

On Friday morning, Durham police confirmed one person died at the scene of the shooting and another person died at the hospital.

According to police, three men and one woman were shot just before 10 p.m. Authorities found two men with gunshot wounds on the ground outside a convenience store.

A man and woman, who police said appeared to be bystanders, had minor injuries. There were three shootings within five hours overnight in Durham, with five people having been shot.

A series of shootings headlined a violent night in Durham.

Investigators are learning more about what caused the Holloway Street shooting, which doesn't appear to have been random. Police said those involved knew each other. No charges have been filed yet.
