<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Durham Police police officers are investigating a deadly shooting Tuesday night on Holloway Street near Hardee Street.

Officers responded after 8:45 p.m. to find two men shot inside a car.

EMS treated the driver at the scene, where authorities said he died.

Authorities took the passenger to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Durham police said the shooting does not appear to be random.

According to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office, deputies used "all less-than-lethal options" available and captured three of the four dogs. After deputies tried to capture the fourth dog on multiple occasions, a deputy shot and killed the dog.
