Officials say they have detained one man and are investigating the details of the shooting. 

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — One man is dead after a shooting Wednesday night in the 5800 block of Aftonshire Drive in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville Police were dispatched at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday evening. Police say that a disturbance outside an apartment resulted in a man shooting the victim. Officials say they have detained one man and are investigating the details of the shooting.

The victim’s information is currently being withheld pending next of kin notification
