One killed, two wounded in Rocky Mount bingo parlor robbery

A woman was killed and two men were wounded Friday night during an armed robbery at a bingo parlor in Rocky Mount, police said.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A woman was killed and two men were wounded Friday night during an armed robbery at a bingo parlor in Rocky Mount, police said.

Police responded to a reported robbery and shooting at Tarrytown Beach Bingo, at 570 S. Wesleyan Blvd., at about 11:45 p.m. and found Nesha Pitt, Thomas Thomas and Darryl Winfield shot.

Pitt, 33, died at the scene, and the two men were airlifted to Vidant Hospital in Greenville. Winfield, 28, remains in critical condition, while Thomas, 28, was listed as stable.
