One man was killed and another was wounded early Friday in a shooting at a Cameron home, the Harnett County Sheriff's Office said.

<b>CAMERON, N.C.</b> — One man was killed and another was wounded early Friday in a shooting at a Cameron home, the Harnett County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded to a report of gunshots at 17 Ripley Road at about 2 a.m. and found James Mallette, 43, of 556 Marks Road in Cameron, dead. Rayshonne King, 23, of 41 James Wilbur Lane in Cameron, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville for treatment of a gunshot wound, police said. His condition was unknown.
