One killed in fiery Nash County wreck
A driver was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in the 7900 block of N.C. Highway 97 in Nash County late Wednesday morning, according to the state Highway Patrol.
Posted — UpdatedMIDDLESEX, N.C. — A driver was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in the 7900 block of N.C. Highway 97 in Nash County late Wednesday morning, according to the state Highway Patrol.
Sgt. Jeff Gordon said that a westbound vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and died.
The driver's identity has not been released.
The investigation into the wreck continues.
