DURHAM, N.C. — An 80-year-old woman was killed in a Monday afternoon crash in Durham, police said.

The crash involving a pickup and a van occurred shortly before 3:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of So-Hi Drive.

Authorities said a Ford van, driven by Thomas Hamilton, 72, of Apex, was traveling west on So-Hi Drive when it was struck by a 2000 Chevrolet truck driven by Scotty Johnson, 56, of Durham. Johnson was traveling east on So-Hi Drive when he crossed the double yellow line and struck Hamilton's van, authorities said.
