'One is the loneliest number:' NC principal walks empty school halls in viral video
Terry Sanford High School's principal Tom Hatch has found a creative way of connecting with his students while they learn from home: Recording a funny YouTube video about how lonely the school is without them.

One is the loneliest number -- so the Three Dog Night song goes.
Nobody knows the truth of those lyrics more than Terry Sanford High School's principal Tom Hatch.
Hatch created a viral video of himself wandering the empty halls of his Fayetteville high school on Fort Bragg Road--a testament to the halls where over 1,000 students once walked. Now, they're all learning from home.
It's just no good anymore since you went away. Now, I spend my time just making rhymes of yesterday.
Hatch skateboards down an empty school hall, checking in each room for signs of students.
He sits alone in a classroom, with no classmates or teachers to talk to.
He plays basketball alone in the gym, where students once played and cheered.
And he walks away sadly down an empty schoolyard walkway. The students are gone, and one is the loneliest number he'll ever know.

Hopefully, the students of Terry Sanford High School will see his video and know how much their school misses them.
