One injured in officer-involved altercation in Benson
A Benson police officer was involved in an altercation outside a business Friday night in which one person was injured, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.

BENSON, N.C. — A Benson police officer was involved in an altercation outside a business Friday night in which one person was injured, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened in the parking lot of a bar, at South Wall Street and West Parrish Drive, around 10:30 p.m.
Benson police have not released information about the incident, except to say that it was not fatal.
The streets on Benson were crowded Friday night for the popular annual Mule Days festival.
