One person is hurt and four people are out of their home in Fayetteville after a fire early Thursday morning.

Around 1 a.m., the Fayetteville Fire Department along with Fort Liberty Fire were dispatched to a reported fire at a single-story home.

When firefighters arrived, heavy fire and smoke was showing from the home.

Additional units were dispatched to assist.

Everyone inside the home was able to get out. One person was injured and was taken to the hospital for evaluations.

Wake County residents will get their first opportunity to voice their opinions on the proposed budget for the 2025 fiscal year on Monday. At 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, the county commission is scheduled to have its budget public hearing at the Wake County Justice Center in room 2700.
