One dead, one injured in Durham shooting
A shooting in Durham Sunday killed one man and injured another, police said.
Posted — UpdatedOfficers responded to "sounds of shots" calls in the area of Canal and Gurley streets around 5 p.m. They found a 24-year-old man shot, lying on the steps in front of 507 Canal St.
The man, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 28-year-old man, whose name was also not released, was shot in the shoulder and arm. He walked a few blocks to get help and was being treated at Duke Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
