One arrested, one sought in Goldsboro shooting

— One man was arrested Friday and police were searching for a second man in connection with a fatal shooting last weekend.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Day Circle last Saturday for a reported shooting. They found one man, Charles Ray Morgan II, dead at the scene and two other men wounded, police said.

Brian McLaurin was airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, and Kevin Barksdale was treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital and released, police said.

Henry Calvin Jones, of 501 S. Audobon Ave. in Goldsboro, was arrested Friday and charged with murder and attempted murder in the case. He was being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail.

Arrest warrants have also been issued for Montrel Devon ONeal, of 401 Day Circle in Goldsboro, on the same charges. He wasn't in custody as of Friday afternoon.
