The Oak Oktoberfest

The Oak Scratch Kitchen and Bourbon Bar in The Marketplace off Lake Boone Trail in Raleigh is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday.

The Marketplace will be buzzing with a beer tent, live music, a kids' zone and more. Admission and parking are free at this festival, which runs noon to 6 p.m.

The beer tent, which will be located between The Oak and WhichWich, will have a sampling of beers including Southern Tier's Pumking, Aviator's PumkinBeast and Doc's Pumpkin Cider. It will be free to enter the tent, but you must be 21 or older.

To go with the beer, The Oak will be grilling up brats and burgers in the courtyard. Head inside the restaurant for some Oktoberfest-themed specials.

The children can play in a free kids' zone in a gated area outside Tumble Gym. Children will enjoy a tumble track, bounce house, face-painting and more. Tumble Gym is also offering a drop-off special in their retail space. Parents can drop-off their children (ages 4 and up) to play inside the gym for $5 an hour per child.
