Officials: Body found near boat ramp in Harris Lake

New Hill, N.C. — Officials found a body Friday afternoon near a boat ramp at Harris Lake.
According to officials with the Chatham County Sheriff's Department, the body was recovered around 12 p.m. near the Cross Point boat ramp.
The body was transferred to medical examiners, officials say.
The investigation is ongoing.
