Officials: 1 dead in wrong-way I-95 crash involving Pepsi truck in Cumberland County
One person died Friday morning in a crash on Interstate 95 in Cumberland County that involved a Pepsi truck, officials said.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One person died Friday morning in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 in Cumberland County that involved a Pepsi truck, officials said.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol officials said the crash happened in the northbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 40. A passenger vehicle was traveling south in the northbound lane and hit the truck head-on.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, whose name hasn't been released, died.
The road reopened around 12:30 p.m.
