Obama returning to Triangle
President Barack Obama will return to the Triangle next week, the White House said Wednesday.
Posted — UpdatedObama will be at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Tuesday for an official event, meaning it's not a campaign stop, a White House official said. Details of his visit haven't been released.
The president last visited the Triangle in September, when he promoted his job-creation proposal in a speech at North Carolina State University.
He has visited North Carolina five times in the past year, most recently pushing for improved fuel-efficiency at a Freightliner truck plant in Mount Holly last month.
